Chainalysis disclosed a security incident on October 30. It says an external attacker used agentic techniques to access internal systems and tools. Exposed customer information included names, email addresses, user IDs and organisation roles.
The company reports no evidence to date of access to investigation content, transaction or query results, plaintext passwords, MFA secrets or session tokens. This finding reflects the evidence available so far.
The exact intrusion path and the role of AI agents have not been disclosed. The disclosed details do not establish that a Chainalysis AI agent was compromised. The company says the incident is separate from the Binance theft.
Watch for unexpected password reset requests and authentication prompts. Reject requests you did not initiate and enable two-factor authentication. Open the service directly to check account notices.
